Bill Hackworth
|
Bill moved to Roanoke in the 1970s, because of its outdoor offerings – he loves to hike, backpack, bicycle and generally be outside. Having seen firsthand the result of unwise development encroaching on the Appalachian Trail, Blue Ridge Parkway and other scenic areas, Bill joined the Conservancy’s board in 2005 and has served on the Conservancy’s stewardship committee. As a Roanoke City Attorney, Bill proudly assisted in placing conservation easements on Carvins Cove, Mill Mountain and on the slopes of Tinker Mountain.
