Hard work and History forever preserved.
Over 300 acres of rolling farmland were conserved in November in Halifax County, Virginia. Historically, it was used for tobacco farming. A log cabin homestead was built using timbers from outbuildings used to cure the tobacco after it was harvested. These days, the farm supports hay production, a picturesque lake, and a healthy forest. Not too long ago, cattle roamed its scenic pastures.

Various old homesites also dot the land, a reminder of the many generations and families who have worked these fields over the years. Thanks to your support of saving land, these hundreds of acres will forever stay available to farming, honoring the hard work of previous generations, and existing for future generations to find their roots.
