What is a Land Conservancy?

A land conservancy is a community-based, non-profit organization formed to help protect local lands important to the quality of life and environmental health of their regions. A land conservancy works to encourage balanced community development and to save important local landscapes – the natural and cultural features that define a community’s character and identity.

We are Land Savers United dba Blue Ridge Land Conservancy. For our most recent tax return (IRS Form 990) and independent financial review, please click HERE.

"We abuse land because we see it as a commodity belonging to us. When we see land as a community to which we belong, we may begin to use it with love and respect.”

        ― Aldo Leopold

The Blue Ridge Land Conservancy  is a 501(c)(3) non-profit. We rely on the generosity of supporters to help us save the land they cherish most.
