Your donation saves land today!
Make your gift and learn about Giving Circles below.
And hear from these landowners about why your donation is important!
DONATE TODAY!
Giving Circles are groups of donors! They’re replacing our old $25/$50/$100, etc., checkboxes on our donation envelopes. Giving Circles are less complicated, and more fun. No matter which Giving Circle you’re in, you’ll receive certain member benefits!
Friends Giving Circle
The Friends Giving Circle is for donors who give up to $364 annually to their local land conservancy. Friends receive our newsletter, Land Savers, as well as a sticker for their car window or water bottle, and invitations to special events.
Supporters Giving Circle
The Supporters Giving Circle is for donors who give $365 to $999 annually (at least a dollar a day for conservation!) to their local land conservancy. Supporters receive all the benefits of the Friends giving circle, and are invited to special events such as the guided tour of McDonald’s Mill and the surrounding Roanoke River bottomland that donors enjoyed in May 2025.
Benefactors Giving Circle
Benefactors Giving Circle is for donors who give $1,000 to $2,499 annually to their local land conservancy. Benefactors receive all the benefits of the Supporter and Friends giving circles, and are invited to an exclusive private event. In April 2025 donors attended an Earth Day dinner and presentation by Dr. Renee Godard at Hollins University.
Patrons Giving Circle
The Patrons Giving Circle is for donors who give $2,500 or more annually to their local land conservancy. Patrons receive all the benefits of the other giving circles, and are invited to a special gathering. Donors at this level were guests at a reception at the home of Dr. and Mrs. Sid Barritt, avid travelers and birders, in the spring of 2025.
Every gift is a big gift to the person who makes it.

"We abuse land because we see it as a commodity belonging to us. When we see land as a community to which we belong, we may begin to use it with love and respect.”
